weekend one has already happened. are you headed to weekend two of coachella? i was really hoping to make my first trek to indio this year, but instead i need my rest before my road trip. i just turned 27, and being responsible is sinking in a little more each day. well, i'm only on day 5...

and speaking of good music. my ex, who remains a very close friend, just released this video of his band Jesus' Sons. and while i often by default hated bands of guys i dated (i tend to date musicians. sue me.) this stuff is good. i can't deny it.

finally tried the chic sweats thing. (when they're leather-trimmed, i can't say no to them.) they work out well for those regina george moments, which admittedly, i've had many of lately. and this plv bag has become my new work/travel tote. it carries my macbook and plenty more. plus it's a hell of a lot better than carrying some gnarly tote around the airport. i have this weird thing about looking like shit at airports - there is no excuse to ever give up on how you present yourself. ever.

on that note, i'll leave you with this song from king tuff. it's the perfect travel song. (and i'll be seeing them in a couple weeks at the burgerama music fest!)

it's been a while, i know. after a flu, er visit, ear infection scare, hearing loss scare, tonsillitis scare, and mono scare, i'm (almost) recovered. it may have triggered a quarter-life reevaluation of myself. i think about my career, my friends, and what i want to do a lot more these days. and my style has also been affected. (oh and a few new tattoos showed up.) this was a fun shoot to do with sam one weekend because it's just me hanging out in my apartment with my dog. wearing my standard uniform of boots, jeans, and some kind of ragged top.

i wanted to start back into things with this post because i've decided to share more about my life and interests with you. 2013 is going to be my year of adventure. i recently decided this. i'm moving my ex-boyfriend down to LA in a couple of weeks and then returning again to see burgerama. i also bought tickets to see lou reed the day before my birthday in april. and i'll be taking a road trip to austin psych fest at the end of april. pretty stoked to turn my year around after a pretty salty beginning.

i love puns. i'm so lame. not much i can do about it, i guess. you'll probably start to see a hell of a lot more black/white looks with red lipstick on this site. it's my go-to. i feel like i've finally defined my style. it's not trendy but incorporates trends in my own way. i'll always be happiest with clean palettes and minimal looks. i used to think, "this isn't good enough. nobody wants to see this. it's not interesting enough. i need to add shit to it."

now i know it's not about you or anyone else. (sorry i'm not sorry.) it's about me. and i like it that way. so get ready to see more of 'me'.

i'm excited to tell you about a collaboration that's about to unveil! i recently met up with the (super fun and hilarious) team at tokyobay to model in their spring/summer lookbook. tokyobay is a watch company based here in san francisco, and they make all kinds of watch styles in addition to necklaces, bracelets and bags.

here are a few 'behind the scenes' outtakes. the house we shot in was stunning. if they let me put up a tent as my home in the living room, i would do it in a heartbeat. but in all seriousness, i can't wait for you all to see the final product. hell, i'm excited to see it myself. it really was a lot of fun to shoot. but you really can't go wrong when a shoot includes dancing, whiskey (don't act surprised) and whipping my hair back and forth. i did willow smith proud.

clearly these photos were shot when we were still having some heatwave action in sf. i'm still headstrong about wearing all black. i'm pretty sure my style influences are obviously jim morrison and johnny cash. all i want to buy right now are leather pants and concho everything.

i don't understand how the rules in football work - i'll just admit it. BUT i grew up a fan of the chicago bears, thanks to my dad's love of the team. now i'm a san franciscan. while i don't watch football here, there's something about san francisco pride that you just can't shake. and i've always been into wearing vintage sports and band tees for their nostalgia.

when stylecaster asked me to style some of the 49ers pieces from victoria's secret PINK's NFL collection, it took me back to my days as a bears fan. every piece was appropriate for fall (football and fall go hand-in-hand; one thing i love about the sport). i had fun running around the store on powell street, trying everything on. check out the other looks i styled here on stylecaster!
