tell me what's on your mind

(unif tank from wasteland, jbrand jeans, boots c/o pipers shoe parlor)

it's been a while, i know. after a flu, er visit, ear infection scare, hearing loss scare, tonsillitis scare, and mono scare, i'm (almost) recovered. it may have triggered a quarter-life reevaluation of myself. i think about my career, my friends, and what i want to do a lot more these days. and my style has also been affected. (oh and a few new tattoos showed up.) this was a fun shoot to do with sam one weekend because it's just me hanging out in my apartment with my dog. wearing my standard uniform of boots, jeans, and some kind of ragged top.

i wanted to start back into things with this post because i've decided to share more about my life and interests with you. 2013 is going to be my year of adventure. i recently decided this. i'm moving my ex-boyfriend down to LA in a couple of weeks and then returning again to see burgerama. i also bought tickets to see lou reed the day before my birthday in april. and i'll be taking a road trip to austin psych fest at the end of april. pretty stoked to turn my year around after a pretty salty beginning.

more pics below as well as a song from one of my favorite bands on regular rotation.

Allah-Las - Tell Me (What's On Your Mind)

spring is at tokyobay!

the lookbook is finally here! here are some shots from the different looks we shot. the spring collection has a theme for everyone from pastels, to the boyfriend look, boho, neons, and classic. check out the rest of my shots below and then pop over to tokyobay to see the rest of the lookbook. (teaser: there are some attempts at supermodel hair whips that made the cut.)

and if you get bored of my lookbook, there's one with cute sf bartenders you can take a gander at as well from the previous season. just saying.

going for baroque

(insight pants c/o lulus, urban outfitters blazer, h&m belt, dannijo necklace, tee from aritzia, ray-ban sunnies, vince camuto booties)

i love puns. i'm so lame. not much i can do about it, i guess. you'll probably start to see a hell of a lot more black/white looks with red lipstick on this site. it's my go-to. i feel like i've finally defined my style. it's not trendy but incorporates trends in my own way. i'll always be happiest with clean palettes and minimal looks. i used to think, "this isn't good enough. nobody wants to see this. it's not interesting enough. i need to add shit to it."

now i know it's not about you or anyone else. (sorry i'm not sorry.) it's about me. and i like it that way. so get ready to see more of 'me'.
