chictopia10 at nyfw!
Sunday, February 14, 2010 by jennie well, i made it in one piece to new york! i'm having the time of my life. parties, networking, conferences, mingling, shopping, architecture, fashion, culture. it's all here.
i thought i'd do a post while i'm sitting awake in my room at the y while the europeans across the hall wrap up their party. here are some snaps from the chictopia10 conference.

it was such a great event. packed! a room full of great people who i was so glad to meet and people i would have liked to meet but didn't quite find the chance to approach them. so many bloggers were there! i have to admit, when i saw carolina engman of fashion squad in person, i was in a bit of a state of awe. she's just so beautiful!
i still can't believe i'm here. the experience continues to be surreal. i've been swept up in this fashion week whirlwind since yesterday, and i'm loving the ride. i can't thank the chictopia team enough for choosing me as one of the 10 chictopians to attend the chictopia10 conference and to experience fashion week. i vow to go every spring and fall from now on. it's worth every penny.
i'm so glad i've gotten to hang out with my california gals here too! and hanging out with liz is always a blast. since the conference, there's been the chictopia party, the bryant park photo shoot and modcloth lunch, vip lounge at the tents, and there's still more to do! the ifb conference is tomorrow, and i'm hoping i can get in... i still have yet to shop! i hope i can check out beacon's closet tomorrow. everyone seems to love it. also looking forward to topshop. let's hope i can squeeze in a museum before i leave! (making a schedule/plan here is impossible to do and stick to!)

I had such a fun time at Chictopia10 - I didn't really get to talk to you though! But it's definitely something I'd like to do over and over again if I could afford it haha.
And I left yesterday - I didn't get to go shopping. More reason for me to return!

Well I'm really hoping you loved NYC enough that you'll come back soon and we can hang out the proper way...not me quickly saying hi and talking about how I have to keep myself in check as to not make an ass of myself, and then bailing from the party before you even get there. Next time...next time.
